Engr. Anton's Party

Anton Buenaventura, who just very recently passed the Board exams for Electronics and Communications Engineering, was feted by proud parents Ping and Mercy last November 8, 2007 at 8610 Gitara Bar. The Agilas and the Libakers came in full force to join the celebration and to partake of the cold beers and delicious lechon.

The night also became a happy bienvenida for Craig and Lolit who had just arrived in Davao.

The heavy rains cooped everybody for hours resulting in having more than the usual quantity of beers being consumed, which, predictably, added more mirth to the event. (And accelerated the descent to childishness. See the mature and apparently respectable man making faces while the pictures are being taken.)

Biketobeerfest a Success!

Biketobeerfest, co-hosted by the Davao Agila Riders last September 27, was a huge success. Close to two hundred riders of underbones, scooters, dirt bikes, sports bikes, cruisers and what-have-you joined motorcade in the morning and converged at the at the Fountain Place for cold, strong beer, good music, delicious food, enthralling dancing, riotous fun and easy camaraderie.

The Agilas wishes to thank all the sponsors and those who worked hard to make the event a success.

Biketobeerfest 2008 promises to be an even bigger blast!

Maayong Buntag, Agilas!

The Davao Agila Riders appeared at the morning TV show Maayong Buntag Mindanao last September 26 to pitch for the Biketobeerfest that would be held the next day. Maayong Buntag Mindanao is aired by ABS-CBN around 6:30 in the morning weekdays. We would like to thank ABS-CBN for accommodating and humoring the Agilas' hidden desire to be artistas.

And guess who among the Agilas really want to be artistas.

Calinan Ride Sep 21

Rain or shine, the hunger to ride had to be satisfied once again. So last September 21, the Agilas were off (once again) to our favorite playground, the twisty, cool and scenic roads of Calinan and Buda.

P.S. Globe Telecoms, PLDT, Blogger.com and the Universe (mostly Blogger, though) all conspired to frustrate an irritable and impatient old man from updating this blog the past few weeks. One can only hope that the Fates will continue reversing this unfortunate state of ours.
